May 3: Event Compilation Video Posted; Top 3 Fundraisers (Team), Top 3 Fundraisers (Individual) & Top 3 Fastest Runners Acknowledged (Individual)

Who can get involved?

Anyone! Register as an individual or get a group together and take part as a team – because this is a virtual event, you can support survivors from anywhere!

How can I participate?

Starting March 10, visit this link to register. You will receive a unique page upon registration that can be shared on your own platforms. Soon after registration, you will be sent suggested 5K routes in Clare, Isabella, and Gratiot Counties and receive updates on how to continue to raise awareness and funds until the end of April!

Take photos of your run any time before the end of April and post on social media, tagging RISE and using “#RISEUp5K” on your posts. These posts will be compiled into an event video once registration closes.

You are also invited to tune in on Saturday, April 10 as we livestream on our Facebook. In addition to having team members and community partners speak, we will have participants join us live! You can even complete your run on that day!

After registration close, event t-shirts (design below) will be available for pick up in Isabella County or shipped for an additional cost.

Is this a competition?

Both individuals and teams can take part in friendly competition! We will be acknowledging top fundraisers in both the team and individual categories. Participants can also submit a screenshot of their route and run time (must be logged on a verified running or fitness app) to be included in the optional competition for fastest speed. Acknowledgement of all winners will be included in the event follow up post on May 3. The winners of both individual competitions will be awarded $50 Visa gift cards as well!

Who is this helping?

Funds will benefit R.I.S.E. Advocacy, a nonprofit serving survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in Isabella, Clare, and Gratiot Counties of Michigan. R.I.S.E. services are free and include sexual assault response, 24-hr crisis line, counseling, legal advocacy, outreach advocacy, and an emergency shelter.
